Plastic Plastic..in Human nature
Plastic surgeries have become huge all over the world. In Sweden, they have increased sharply over time. Men and women I meet on the streets are easy to spot. I would say honestly that some of them did a great job because it looks fine and kind of natural unless you don’t stare too much until they get mad at you. While some have done so extreme that their faces have become misfigured.
When I was little it was a mystery to go through plastic surgeries. It was like a life changing solution at that age and the mindset of beauty is set upon looking into the movies of beautiful women who have “fixed themselves” and as I grow, I see the reality of men and women who performed beauty procedures. And it shockes me and disgusts me openly. I understand though in most part that most of these individuals carry an inner war. Probably their identity, self esteem or confirmation hunger.
Not everyone though has a bad self esteem. Some has background problems psychologically and some bear with them unbelievable or probably horrific stories that leads to “fixing” themselves in surgery.
Although the beauty surgery has gone this far in our generation, I must admit it has also helped alot of people who needed it. Those who have cleft palate problems has now found a better surgery solutions. Those who had some accidents, tragic situations they have been with which caused damaged and can be resolved with plastic surgery. Oh those people I watched on documentary who lost their ears or whom have been abused. These sort of surgeries I support and absolutely needed these kind of surgery because it was more reasonable and more understandable.
I would also include those who had some surgeries over time had developed some health issues
- Blood loss.
- Nerve damage.
- Blood clots.
- Organ damage.

When plastic surgery is used
Plastic surgery can be used to repair:
- abnormalities that have existed from birth, such as a cleft lip and palate, webbed fingers, and birthmarks
- areas damaged by the removal of cancerous tissue, such as from the face or breast
- extensive burns or other serious injuries
Plastic surgery can often help improve a person’s self-esteem, confidence and overall quality of life.

Imagine the warning that had been taken up by professionals, still human being is so personally selfish despite of the danger they would face in the future they would still want to look good. Well who doesn’t like that? I want to look good too but not in the cost of my health and economy.
In this particular blog, some would probably think I’m a cringe who just disagree on the norms (which is actually turned out norms nowadays everytime you turn your head). I will take up some examples why it is important to know yourself first before going through the stupidity of unnecessary cosmetic surgery if you actually do not need it.
Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is common among people who have an interest in plastic surgery.
Which is a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance. These flaws are often unnoticeable to others. People of any age can have BDD, but it’s most common in teenagers and young adults.

My final point is learn to know yourself. You probably know yourself but you know who you actually are. Learn to be observant about how you think about you and how speak about you. There are things you say that actually makes you feel worse and the things you worry about aren’t actually necessary. If you aren’t confident about your looks, learn to find simple things to dress up. If the things you think about you are too heavy to bear, I suggest you to talk to a psychologist (which I hope your psychologist also aren’t a plastic surgery fan). Or try to speak with people you trust if you have. Exercise. Go out and walk and make things that are meaningful, of course its not fun but it will help you gain yourself back.
As I have said while ago, I was in that mindset of plastic solution when I was at a young age. But the more I grow in years (sounds like an old lady now) I have learned to accept and embrace my flaws and the looks that makes me who I am outwardly. I have learned to make myself comfortable and also, I buy clothes that makes me comfortable. I put generally my lipstick on and some excessive blush on coz I love it. The more I know my flaws, the more I have learned to navigate on myself to become a better person. I actually learned through time not to be conformed by what people say. Of course there are negative comments about me but it was unnecessary to listen to them and waste time. I try to manage my time to develop myself to become more intelligent by learning and as much as I can to develop my mindset into a better perspective and view of life. When you learn this things about you, you will have a good navigation to the people around you.
